Part of its "spread-the-word" campaign was establishing a web site that provided information on the school. However, in order for the web site to be effective, it needed to be promoted to the families of potential applicants. N-Sight Consulting was charged with this task. The first step we took was to establish the most popular keywords and key phrases used by web users when looking for private elementary schools in the Atlanta area. We sorted these into groups of primary and secondary importance, to allow us to focus on those most likely to produce the desired traffic. Once these groupings were finalized, we optimized the school's web pages such that these keywords and key phrases were incorporated in the web pages' coding, along with other codes to assist in the search engine listing process. Then, the site was registered with key search engines and directories. We also took additional steps to make sure the site showed up in other local directories, such as accessatlanta.com run by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The results speak for themselves. In a recent survey of the top eight search engines using the two primary key phrases, the school received eleven first place rankings. On only two occasions was it not in the top five rankings.
