SQL Server, QuickBase & Other Databases

Despite our focus on FileMaker and Access, we realize that sometimes those solutions don't necessarily fit our clients' needs or need to work in conjunction with other systems that reside on differing platforms.  As a result, we have incorporated skillsets in SQL Server, Oracle QuickBase and other databases into our capabilities in order to offer complete solutions to our clientele.

The best way to illustrate our capabilities is to highlight different projects we have worked on the involve the use of these other databases.  Summaries of some of these projects are presented below:

SQL Server & Microsoft Access

Our client is a manufacturing company that produces industrial cutting tools to order from a vast catalog of items.  The solution that they employ is a SQL Server database that uses a Microsoft Access front end to facilitate ease of use on the desktop.  We support both the SQL Server back end as well as the Access front end.

Oracle & FileMaker

Our client in this case is a state government agency that conducts on-site property inspections using FileMaker deployed on a tablet device.  Once the data is collected, the tablet devices upload their data to an Oracle database where it is stored and processed.

MySQL & FileMaker

Users of a  major not-for-profit's web site sign up for various events through through web with a web form supported by a MySQL database.  Using FileMaker Server, several MySQL tables were identified as FileMaker data sources, and the data from them is directly used and manipulated in FileMaker.  Once processing is completed, the data is then pushed back to another MySQL table, which the users are able to access via the web.

QuickBase

A mid-sized home services company receives prospective orders through its web site.  Prospective orders are reviewed by office staff and then assigned to field salespeople for follow up.  We created a QuickBase solution that allows them to more effectively track leads, sales, service and ongoing account status.
